This website is designed to focus on approaches to teaching Math using a Math Literacy approach. 

The website is divided into 2 major areas:

1. Understanding of Math Literacy: 
  • Looks at the role of teaching and learning in math instruction
  • Examines connections between conceptual and procedural knowledge
  • Focuses on Math Language: Rich Tasks vs. Rich Talk

2. Ideas for teaching/approaching the different strands of math based on the Ontario Curriculum Expectations (Grades 1-8).
